Mannequin Mover?
I recently went after a ghost in Tanglewood Street House that was particularly intelligent....and spooky.

Found the ghost in the basement, set up a camera on the tire just in front of the stairs into the basement. There is a dress Mannequin in the very back of the basement. Go back to truck and look, notice something is blocking camera...wth?

Go BACK into basement....yeah, ghost put the Mannequin directly in front of the camera.... It later moved the Mannequin upstairs and into the garage with another Mannequin.

Has ANYONE else experienced this yet?

OH my gosh, I had never seen it before! It was surprising and eerie to be sure. Very impressive little quirk the developers added!

Its been in the game for ages, but it doesn't always happen. There are only a set number of places the mannequins can teleport to so you set your camera up right in front of one.
Be warned that the stuffed toys (bear and donkey/rabbit [i'm not sure if its meant to be a rabbit or donkey]) can teleport too.

I have seen the voodoo dolls, the stuffed animals, the ball and blocks skitter around the houses, just NEVER something as large as a Mannequin! Eeesh...little buggers must've just waited for that camera and timed it just right XD Amazing, I had no idea it had been in the game already, thought I had witnessed a super spooky glitch or something new they had dropped in the last update! Thank you for the replies, I really appreciate them!

No problem. Your reaction is exactly what the developer is going for in the first place. You enjoyed it so much you had to run and tell someone. I hope the game has more such awesome surprises in store for you yet. :steamhappy:

I had a basement ghost on Egdefield that waited until I was on the way back inside from the van to turn the upstairs hall light on and teleport a mannequin to right in front of the window in that hall. I've seen the aftermath of a mannequin teleporting before, but never in real time. Very spoop. Much concern.

I love seeing the mannequins and the toys moving about, adds a nice lil spooky factor!

Ran into one of those ghost too on the first mission on Egdefield with a moving mannequin aswell. Was heading into one of the top floor rooms with a ghostbox to try and sniff out the ghost, got contact with the ghost so i headed back out to the van to get some more equipment.

But just before leaving the top floor i took a good look around to upstairs hallway and rooms trying to look for the bone, but no luck. Once i got back out to the van and was ready to get back in i saw a mannequin standing in the top floor window looking down on to the van, waitning for me to come back up... That thing was not standing there when i looked around earlier... That messed me up so bad

me and my friends literally tonight just noticed and started thoroughly investigating the phenomenon it freaked us out soo much, and to put this in perspective I'm level 220 now and we've been playing over 100 hours and never noticed this event until tonight when I was watching a camera and noticed something had changed slightly, I told my friend "look at that mannequin was that there before?" it had been in the room when I was watching the cam but it wasn't in the room earlier when we were looking for our other friends dead body so we thought maybe we'd just missed it luckily for me though I had the game bar active on this game so I recorded the last 30 seconds of footage and replayed it to see that the mannequin had shifted while I was watching it, it had rotated 90 degrees to look at the camera I was looking through. I freaked out told my friend and showed them, then immediately after that my friend tells me to look at the camera now, I look and to my horror it was now gone. we then investigated every single mannequin we encountered in the next 2 houses and saw that his happened more often than we thought, we loved it and couldn't stop freaking out about how we never noticed this before, we intend to not tell our other friends and are going to try and spook them by setting up the right circumstance to make them see it and freak out on their own.
awesome stuff devs! keep it up!

YAS, THIS, SAME! I'm 200+ in level as well, many hours clocked in the game and had never seen them move and shift before until just before this original post. The devs did an amaaazing job at upping the spook factor!

Me too! I'm eager to see more of these little ambience spooks, as if the real spooks weren't already good at their spooking jobs. :cozyroe:

it's even spookier when the red ball gets thrown down the basement stairs.

Ironically, that happened to me on the same map I first spotted the moving mannequin. Just happened to be playing with my friend and I blamed him up and down for tossing the ball down the stairs..... whoops XD

I've had this one time before. I wouldn't mind if it happened more often. I've never seen it happen again afterwards tho.

I had a stretch of games one day around a month ago during which the stuffed animals would teleport to me wherever I went. I'd turn around and find it on the floor behind me. I'd look down at the book on the floor and then look up and see it balancing on its arm in a doorway. I had no idea this was a thing and the next few hours consisted of me and my pal that was watching me stream over Discord just looking for the stuffies first to see if they would move later on in the investigation. Creeped us both right out!

I have only ever had a mannequin moving ghost two times now, both in the past month. I have noticed them looming in upper windows in the farmhouse before, but I never really noticed them "moving" so chalked it up to atmosphere.

I have had the ball roll down the stairs in a bunch of houses. One memorable game it was thrown with force at me coming down the stairs moments after I unlocked the door for the first time to start the investigation. My fellow hunters were like "HOW COULD YOU HAVE ALREADY OFFENDED THE GHOST?", so I knew it wasn't just a weird visual glitch pretty quick.

Hopefully we'll both see more of it! I really enjoyed the experience and the extra spoop factor it caused!

It's almost like an easter egg hunt at that point! I absolutely agree though, I'm definitely going to be paying alot closer attention to my surroundings and NOT just the ghost coming to eat my giblets!
