I can't use the cursed items

I can't use cursed items that have a menu to activate. All my friends can. I have already reinstalled the game

The cursed items with a "menu" aren't like that by default. The clickable UI for them only shows up when you're using "Text" for the voice recognition mode setting in-game. The item is instead expecting you to actually say the commands to activate it (e.g. when you activate the Ouija Board, you have to actually say "Where are you?" and "Goodbye" through local voice chat).
