Game mechanic wise, all the responses are recorded takes from several streamer partners with the devs that the game just breaks up with random fragmentation so you don't hear the same thing every time.
In general, the only important responses from spirit box are in response to "where are you" which the ghost will answer with near or far variants. This can tell you how close you are to the ghost, which can help figure out where the ghost is.
The Deogen has a unique response when the spirit box is used within 1 meter of the ghost, which will play a heavy breathing sound instead of a normal response. This is a sure indication of a deogen so if you hear that you know what ghost it is.
