Deogen and Ghost Writing & Spirit Box Anomaly

I was doing Edgefield and the odd thing was the Ouji board said it was in the "dining Room". I somehow messed up and thought it was in the "Living Room". Spirit box got a response, ghost writing occured and that was it. Nothing else after. I then relized I was in the wrong room and should have been in the dining room. That's where all the plates and stuff were tossed all over by the time I got there. Got the DOTS working fine, Spirit Box worked again, but the Ghost Writing that worked in the Living room did not.

Any idea what was going on with that? Bug? I don't have ghosts able to change rooms at all in that mode I played.

Even with "ghost can change favorite room" turned off, ghosts can still roam around freely. They just won't pick a different favorite room at the end of their roam, and will return to their room.

Weird, I have only ever encountered this issue one time and it was pretty much I think the same 2 rooms I had the problem in as well...

Ghosts do have the weird ability to reach through walls, which means it could have written in the Ghost Writing Book from the kitchen as well. Both Ghost Writing and Spirit Box happen where the ghost is as well, not where its favorite room is.

You just need to be near the ghost for the spirit box to work, and have the lights turned off. It doesn't have to be the ghost room and ghosts can roam without changing their favorite room.

Ghost can invisibly wander around the house and interact within a range of them and through walls. The favorite room is just where they spend most of their time and where you'll see orbs (if orbs are evidence or it's a mimic). The ouija board tells you where the ghost is at the moment you ask.

The "favorite room" question is very finicky. When you get a response on the Ouija board, it tells you the CURRENT location of the ghost, so if it's wandering outside of it's favorite room, it will tell you it's in there.

Even if it's favorite room is in Master Bedroom, and it happened to be wandering outside in the hallway, it will tell you the favorite room is in the hallway.

Ahhh good to know these things. I just figured the favorite room would lock it to one area. I didn't realize the ouija board would only tell the present location as well. Thanks for the responses...
