Also, lot's of people who play console would like Phasmo. Just because you don't know a single friend, doesn't mean there are people who don't wanna play. Plus, with the console out of the way, more things should be added.
And it's also asine to just drop an update they've been working on and planning for over a year.
1. The developers should have gone to you, then, since it's clear your sample is representative of the entire population of potential buyers! /s
2. See point 1, above.
3. The developers aren't the ones working on the plushies, so releasing them has no impact on the game.
4. They are working on this, no doubt.
5. They've added more than one feature this year alone. Check the development history.
Well, since you clearly haven't seen the player stats (that is, the people that are playing it) your comment about not needing a statistics team is hilarious and ironic. I also note you didn't reply to my point.
You don't understand how games are developed.
I'm talking about official numbers recorded on steam and other apps. In all instances, there are at least a few thousand people playing the game.
There's also been a lighting engine update, and an in game voice system update, both of which I think have had a fairly large and overall positive impact on the game.
Sure, currently a lot more effort seems to be going into the console side of things, but overall I think that will be to the general benefit of the game. More people playing means they can justify an even larger team and get quality content updated faster.
I know people who I used to play on PC and no longer have access to a gaming PC. They're excited they can play it again on console. Hopefully many more new players find the game with console release.
If it was just out of greed then DK wouldn't have hired a whole team and probably wouldn't have gone this far for updating the game as much as he has.
1. I bet 99 % of your library also consists of games i wouldn't be able to find anyone from my social circle who would actually want to play them. Are you now also willing to delete all these games from your library, because i've proven without any logical fallacy, that they're unnecessary to exist in the first place?
2. Ah yes, the very compelling argument of More players = dying faster. Didn't hear that in quite some time, like probably a week or so.
3 . It's probably closer to 99,9 % who won't buy or do you really think they're selling like a million plushies? Though developing something is usually outsourced to companies that know more about creating these, so it's not like it takes away that much time from development. You could've known that as well if you would do some basic research instead of assuming that your 10 people friend circle is the centre of the gaming industry
4. Where do you get the idea from, that bugs aren't gonna be fixed? Likely there's barely any patch that doesn't come with bug fixes and we already know, that some major bug fixes are on the way, most notably the photo system rework and the door unhinging bugs
5. And we did get tons of features and there are still some left. Though, EA is not only about adding features (and we're already at an almost feature complete game anyway), but also about quality and performance. These 2 things are less interesting for people who're not at all interested in the less shiny parts of game development, but nonetheless important for a well polished game.
The devs obviously care a lot, given how much they focus on quality despite so many haters rather just demanding broken features and boring looking asset flips.
Yeah sure, it has gotten me killed a few times with some head scratching on how the ghost found me, but no big deal, it's a game! An improvement would be to put a mic sensitivity HUD instead of just an on/off symbol. Could be a feature as well that a ghost can turn your mic on or something too.
The only real "fixes" that I want to see is client side photo agreements and DON'T TURN THE STUPID FLASHLIGHT ON WHEN YOU CYCLE THROUGH YOUR INVENTORY. lol. how long we been asking for that one?
Have a friend who's been waiting for years and one who is buying a whole new console for it. Rage bait used to be believable
