game crashing
this game is constantly crashing after 5 or 10 min of playing. i have tried every single fix possible with zero luck. high end gaming pc. has to be some sort of bug requiring a patch from phasmophobia themselves. super frustrating as for the short time i get to play the game is fun.

verify the game? is the crash happening at a specific time or do you have any error messages, i have seen the game crash when the ghost starts a hunt for example, happens when files were corrupted.

Nobody else seems to be reporting this. Even if your pc is high-end, there *could* be something wrong. try restarting, scanning your system for anything harmful, etc., just general troubleshooting, before reporting the issue to the devs themselves.

worst-case scenario, you might be able to get a refund (depending on how long you've owned it). Good luck with fixing it ♥

In more cases than not (as has been in mine) it's user/system error. By that i mean a faulty component in your computer.

First off if you have a 13th or 14th generation intel CPU, update your bios. If that doesn't work, update your GPUs software, or try down clocking the card itself.

If that fails, test your memory with any number of programs, it may be unstable

There's a reason the game is crashing and i can promise it's not because of the game itself with this one in particular. I've experienced all of the above problems before, you're not immune to them.

Faulty 14th gen intel CPU crashing (fixed with bios update), faulty GPU crashing (fixed by down clocking it), bad memory crashing (fixed by correcting the 'overclock' or disabling entirely for some games).

I hope you figure out the problem, and if you don't know how to do the above things find tutorials. Side note, any overclock for any part can cause crashing in some games, try disabling them all if that's your case.

yes, the same problem is playing multiplayer and the game crashes after 5-10 minutes, with a timeout error, or a unity error, everything works without problems in a single game

This is a big problem right now, unity crash all the time, same with my brother. Those on console seems to be ok. Maybe a crossplay issue but it need fix from the devs
