Other than that, the difficulty settings don't matter, even if you set something up like friendly ghost or have a super slow ghost with you being super fast, so feel free to use the difficulty where you can gain as much points in as little time as you can get. For MP in particular it's probably best to have one person get all totem photos, while the others try to extract as many objectives as possible within like 2-3 minutes. Especially with 3-4 people it should be possible to get all evidence items in without any problem, especially since you don't need flashlights anyway.
Though as already said, pure grinding doesn't really seem to be necessary at all, unless it makes fun for you to do this
