Spriti box on linux doesnt seem to work.

I use linux and the rest of the game seems to work fine but the spirit box almost never works. It would be nice if the spirit box had a button to activate it instead of talking would be nice to fix that issue on linux systems. Or having a "speak" ring of options for people withiut mics or people not using windows. Something simple like rocket leagues chat options that you can pull up for simple call outs.

It uses windows 10s built in voice recognition so it wont work on linux

Yeah i do agree. Using cortana was a bad move though. But it should be an easy issue to solve by adding some manual call outs that you can select making the game platform independent.

It is actually a decent idea. Strange that people tend to ignore things that are just "lying on the ground".
There are no more open source/free to use, less error prone, small in size speech recognition applications, anyway. If there are so many issues with an already pre-installed Cortana - just imagine how many issues would there be with any other speech recognition.

I would imagine at some point he would move to a non MS version that comes packaged with the game, but as a solo dev, it's probably a lot easier and straightforward to use what MS already has, especially since it's constantly being updated.
