Phasmophobia on Windows 7 Mic Problem
Hi! I recently bought this game but I can't use any kind of microphone on it because I'm playing on WIN7

There will be any update about it soon?

Thanks!

You must have Windows 10 (2004) to play Phasmophobia.

Yeah, but that's like a limited experience bc I can run the game but can't speak at all so yeah ... That's why I was asking if an update will be coming soon

You can play, and use local chat and radio with other players, but the game/ghost will not be able to hear you so you will not be able to accurately gather evidence that requires you to speak to the ghost. But if you want to rely on the other players to talk to the ghost, you can still play the game.

Good point of view! Thanks! =)

AFAIK u can talk to the ghost in the spiritbox, it just wont recognise what you say so its answer, if it gives one, will be a random word or phrase.

If i ask it here it is, it might say "here"

But for you it might just say "kill" or something else.

Either way youll have your evidence.

You can play just fine. I play without voice recog and the ghost is just a bit more random with reactions.

So the ghost can still hear you, but just not understand you? Good to know.

Currently playing this on a Win7 Ultimate with no problems.

I'm pretty sure voice recognition is working fine because the ghost is happy to gank me when I talk crap to it.

Voice recog only works on Windows 10. You're experiencing the fall-back mode where a random reaction is chosen. It clearly works well, because you didn't even notice :).

if your mic is default set in windows 7 and your press v to talk something's still wrong on your end and without much detail people are not able to help you.

As for offgicial win 7 support, probally not gonna happen cause microsoft dropped support support for it.

He can't because it doesn't work. The ghost acts "random" when you try to speak with the ghost with windows 7.

I don't get it, buy Windows 10, that's it. Best OS ever for gaming.

u can still upgrade win7->win10 for free !?!? (last checked it 3 months ago)
if u have win7 home, grab win 10 home, it should activate itself if ur running a MB with win key in bios, otherwise just enter ur win7 key
