One thing I found is that it's hoping to come out with 1.0 either mid 2024 (this year) to early 2025 but might change due to how much they are doing with the game. I also found that it will come out in four groups: https://dotesports.com/phasmophobia/news/phasmophobia-2024-roadmap-all-upcoming-update-details. But I would look through this link: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/739630/view/3694683561725552339 - to find out more. I found this out not to long ago, mainly because I want to make more of my favourite concept, Phasmophobia, but everything is cats.
This is the most recent roadmap https://steamcommunity.com/games/739630/announcements/detail/3883856311504002775?snr=2___
So atm we are at 0.9.6.1 and based on Roadmap we can anticipate whats next. Well many players waiting already for those things to be added in-game, there are some who have 2-3-4000h on Phasmo so the game is still in trend and played/recommended but they need to add those sooner and avoid loosing this hype and people trust because taking so long from update to update.

It's not though. Your claims about my comments don't address the issues I raised with valves CS:GO and any other game that doesn't have a deceased company behind the reigns that can't force any change upon the game at any whim. Your logic is flawed, what you say about EA games still applies to non EA games; or is the logic simply "in order to protect yourself you shouldn't buy games".
What Valve does or what Ubisoft does is not related to what I'm talking about. This isn't about unfinished games being changed or always online games being shut down, it's addressing OP believing they're owed content after buying a game where there's an inherent risk that there will be no more content. If you want to know if a game appeals to you, finished or unfinished, then don't buy it based on what it will be, but what it IS. Which requires a person to do three things: research, research, and research.

OP has been temp banned from these discussions multiple times due to similar threads/posts. I honestly believe it’s a sad attempt at jester farm and/or a cry for attention.

The real reason the updates are being postponed is because when the big patch came around november 2023, a lot of players complained about game being broken and performance issues saying the game was worse.

I'm pretty sure it was then decided that patches would take longer to come.
I'm sure Phasmo will have real character models around the time Star Citizen launches.

To the conversation we had it was pretty relevant, you probably don't see the relevance since you just dismissed 90% of what I wrote.

It's not. At no point have I ever mentioned that. Go back and read what you ignored.
Could we have new house/maps and make the ghosts more realistic?

Of course it's not hard to comprehend cause they've told us what at least 4 of their concurrent projects were: Console ports (ultimately on the backburner), final testing of Point Hope, the final update for v9.0 where we get the progression tweaks and equipment rebalances, then there's the revamp of the farmhouses (which, while neat, should've been reworks for Prison and/or High School imo).
The comprehend quote is missing context, it was about the loss of development time/progress due to the console ports. We know what the devs are working on, just not in what capacity. Looking at the updates, what they contain and how far apart they are, it's clear that their attention has been focused elsewhere for a long time.
That is a fair point.

I have no idea why they are so insistent on removing everything that made phasmophobia phasmophobia, I can't wait for the final release of the game to look nothing like it was. The maps are an iconic part of the game, I can't believe after all this time they're just going to end up destroying them.
The (original) maps are all stock unity assets and the devs don't want to continue using borrowed assets in their game, so I consider it understandable that they want to get rid of those when given the opportunity even if it ruins some of the nostalgia.

There's also the influx of devs they recently hired, though I'll admit I'm not sure how much the onboarding slows down their progress or how quick they'll adapt to the workplace. I haven't seen more coders like DK and Lav yet, so I believe that's creating a bottleneck on development time.
I wouldn't say influx, they've trickled in a few new staff over the last year. It's a strange sight seeing these people come in at the end of the games development cycle.
The devs (or at least CJ) have said that Phas won't stop at 1.0 and will get updates beyond that. To what degree is anyone's guess, though idk if the devs have any more of a clue on that as we do with it being that far out.

There was DOTS a long time back, but honestly, we don't need more primary evidence just yet. The current combinations of 7 evidence and 3 per ghosts gives us 35 combinations to fill first. If they're going to eventually give us new primary evidence, I'd rather that be held out until needed, because I personally don't want to relearn evidences any time soon- and I think many people wouldn't want to deal with that either.
I wasn't really asking for new evidence rather for that user to clarify what new evidence they were talking about. AFAIK there was some talk of adding in new evidence.
Fair enough.

As far as more secondary evidence, hopefully we'll see that when audio evidence gets looked at, either by brand new equipment or some equipment becomes more useful (*cough* *cough* sound sensors *cough*). My first take is a similar system to the photo system, but hopefully we get some additions/changes to audio related ghost evidence.
That would be good. Maybe the devs will get round to adding a PDA for the sensors, something that was requested like 3 years aso.
While they're at it, I hope the higher tier sound sensors stop taking in ambient sounds, because on places like Sunny Meadows, that gets irritating pretty quick.

As far as ghosts go, we've had double the amount of ghosts we originally had and there's still room for more. That said, I do wish we get another ghost type soon. Personally, I'm hoping for more Writing/DOTS ghosts so Deo/Thaye are a little less obvious. That or some dangerous EMF 5 ghosts since Raijus are the only early hunters with that evidence. I have no clue if they'll stop feeling like "copy-paste jobs" since they're intentionally blended similarly to prevent every game from being immediate insta-IDs. I think a good way to counter that is to organize a group of ghosts into particular "categories" (aggressive/passive, active/inactive, vocal/shy, etc) but that may require getting more ghosts first before we can organize them into bigger groups.
Personally I'd like to see an overhaul of the ghost AI, RNG has carried it for too long. Give the ghosts a bit of intelligence instead of just letting them randomly roam, make them do events in places that are across the map making them harder to find, make the ghost more aggressive in it's hunt locations. I used to argue on here before to allow players to be able to control the ghost in a small capacity to offset how boring/predictable the AI is, it really needs shaken up.
I absolutely agree on needing better ghost AI; it would be nice for the ghosts to act more "natural" outside of player interactions, especially where ghost events are concerned, and improving the hunt AI to be more threatening is something I hope gets great attention to when the game hits full release. Imo, an AI overhaul should also be tied to difficulty as well. Currently, the hunt AI is currently no less dangerous Amateur than on Insanity or Custom, making for some very eccentric gameplay dynamics at the lower and higher levels due to other factors like setup time, hiding spots and the scaled ghost activity. I wouldn't say it's backwards per se, but it just feels off at the lower levels to say the least.

3 maps already in private testing. Public release not known.

Not sure how they’re supposed to make ghosts “more realistic” though.

One map for more than 2 years, the remaining are rework ?

Emurinus, you should write this on Reddit and Discord to make sure devs can read it, there are a lot of good points here.
You did great well done.

Reworked maps are new maps because you've never played on their design before.
same houses same ghosts same tools. no scary moments. getting kind of boring.
