If a game isn't updating, how exactly can it get "worse"?
He's just looking to complain about the game for the sake of complaining. And I love that mindset of "ignore them". That's a real good look IRL...
There are a LOT of EA titles that tend to go through similar update patterns during development. Some of these guys must be new to EA/Beta testing.
When a studio starts building a game, there's a ton to add. Updates tend to happen quickly. Once the game starts coming together, updates start to spread out as the to-do list thins, and they start focusing on other parts of the game. There's a few out there only updating Alphas maybe once a year. And one is about to come out of Steam's EA.
These EA titles don't come with guarantees, and you should always take "promises" with a grain of salt. At the end of the day, they owe you nothing. Your $12 as laid out by Steam's EA EULA is essentially a gamble.
This game was massive when it first hit EA. Should they have expanded their development team? Probably. I'm not complaining but more wondering if the team have sold themselves short not stepping up to the expectations of what was such a popular EA launch. That's their decision though. I don't expect this game will change in any meaningful way between now and 1.0. I've enjoyed my time with it though. The value has been immense.
I am sure there's probably a good reason. We can't just assume the devs are just lazy. For all we know, they could be juggling stuff in their personal lives.
