Should I upgrade my prestige now or wait for the update?
Should I upgrade my prestige now or wait for the update?

from what the developers wrote: "Coming soon for each prestige, players will be able to choose one of the following:
A sum of extra starting money to kickstart their equipment loadouts or to save for their first few upgrades
Or a small XP boost for that prestige only, allowing players to level up slightly faster, but have to manage their money better."
and I don't know if I should upgrade my prestige to level two or wait for the update

PS. It took me quite a long time to reach 100 lvl

There's no telling when the update is gonna be and whether or not the changes will apply retroactively. I assume this would be the case and I don't think it'll matter whether you'll prestige now or later, so don't worry too much about it and do whatever feels right to you now.

I'd say wait to prestige, if for no other reason than to get the post prestige option. The banked experience should in theory be kept and then the list of thresholds will get updated. so it will result in a new displayed level... but that doesn't matter if you plan to prestige anyway.

But as for when the update drops, we do at least know it will be after the shop rework, which V3 is confirmed for sometime next week... and considering it sounds like their next priority it could be anytime in the next month or so, pending no further issues. That said, things might slow down a bit as they have confirmed that they will be entering the testing phase for Point Hope Lighthouse, which by their own admission is not a quick process.

There's also the option that it resets to the currents level starting point, which is quite a viable route from a devs pov, since otherwise it might happen that people, who're already near lvl 100 being catapulted beyond lvl 100 and then being robbed of such a milestone, especially when it's their first prestige to reach, not to mention the negative situations regarding unlocking tons of items in an unfun way of just math unlocking everything.

I'd recommend finding the easiest way to prestige at the moment ... someone did it in like a weekend at the small campsite ... 100 Prestiges... it's just an animated Grim Reaper Badge.

Knowing the Devs, they'll likely make Prestiging take way longer, they're a bit spiteful when it comes to people either exploiting or blowing through their content super fast, which makes it seem like they don't do much... which they don't ... They've been teasing the new map for a YEAR... and we've got like 2 screenshots ... "Soon TM"

I'd suggest you prestige now. I'm one of the weirdos who thought reaching prestige 20 was a fun goal, and I stopped grinding the moment it was announced that the xp system was going to be reworked. I regret that decision, because at the rate I was going, I would have been to prestige 20 by now. It's already been a while since they announced the changes, and we haven't heard when they're coming, so I suggest just carrying on playing the game however you want until we hear more.
