Summoning Circle?
I was trying to finish the Easter event and get a picture of the ghost. I had the summoning circle, my sanity was in the 90's, I lit all the candles and the ghost killed me before I had a chance to take the picture. Am I missing something? The ghost was a Moroi.

Each candle takes away 15% sanity i think. If you light the last candle and you dont have 15 or more you get a 1 second grace period instead of 5 seconds

Moroi speed is based on low sanity and LOS. He's the fastest ghost in the game.

Unless things have changed, when you lit the circle, each candle took 16% of your sanity, for a total of 80%. On top of that, if your sanity is 20% or below (I might be wrong with that number), the grace period before the ghost hunts is one second.

Laugh it off and keep trying. You got wrecked.

I sure did! Thanks for the info!

Also, if the ghost starts to hunt while you are lighting the candles, it will still be in hunting mode when it teleports to the circle once all the candles are lit, so no grace period at all.
The best option is to either smudge the ghost before summoning (so you have some time where the ghost can't start a hunt), drop a crucifix in the ghost room and hope it doesn't roam, or take some meds part way though to keep your sanity up.
Summoning circle is probably the least forgiving cursed object.

Each candle on the summoning circle takes 16% sanity away, for a max of 80% sanity. When the ghost is successfully summoned, you get a five second ghost event before it starts the cursed hunt.

There are two conditions when the summoning circle fails to properly trap the ghost:

>If you light the last candle while the ghost is currently hunting, it just teleports the ghost right to you with nothing impeding it.

>If you light the last candle with less than 16% sanity, the ghost will immediately begin a cursed hunt after being summoned.

If you want the best chances of successfully using the summoning circle, I recommend either smudging the ghost, or throwing a crucifix or two in the ghost room, so the ghost can't hunt until you've summoned it.

The circle is the most high-risk high-reward cursed object for that reason. It lets you get a vast majority of the objectives done at once while also forcing the ghost to hunt from a specific spot, making it very rewarding if you take proper precautions.
