Question about the Mare

Does the Mare Always starts a hunt in a dark room? regardless of if it being the Ghost room or not

It can hunt in a lit room, but it brings the sanity threshold down to 40%. Mares tend to wander to rooms that have their lights off, and also when they're in the dark their hunt threshold goes up to 60%, which might give the illusion they only hunt when the lights are out.
