Classic. Good thing you had DOTs fully covering the room. Weird you didn't get any audio cues though.
For once on this forum, actual proof of a bug!
would you see the hunt without the glitch with your bare eyes but glitched through cameras, as for goryo dots dont appear to the bare eye?
or would it just have the same DOTs glitched hunt behaviour as other dots ghosts...
or does it not have the DOTs glitch at all?
I wonder if you could rule out Goryo if you see a DOTs hunt
For future reference, once you get a positive DOTS interaction, it's best to take them down to help avoid this particular issue until then ><
Should be a 3 second grace period as can be heard in the clip. The ghost entered hunting mode, but was simply still visible due to the mentioned bug, while OP pretty much ignored the hunting sound.
2 seconds is more than enough for good players to get into a safe spot on most maps. And sure, getting an unlucky demon ability right a t the start can happen, but it's so rare, that you've to play hundreds of hours to get it even once due to how many things need to happen together.
would be so funny
Edit:
unless... i wonder if that would count, as the achievment just says it needs to be the demon ability, it doesnt say it has to be a demon as well
I know (seen on a stream) that a mimic revenant will still trigger the revenant achievement if you survive, so I would assume it would work with mimic demon as well.
DOTs glitch appears to be that the ghost gets stuck in DOTs mode during a hunt (as in, it's in DOTs mode, revealed by DOTs, and decides to hunt). This usually means the ghost is completely invisible unless it's in a DOTs field, at which point it shows up like normal DOTs silhouette, but with hunting behaviors (blinking, moving in not a straight line, following the player, etc). Presumably a Goryo would be completely invisible unless it's in a DOTs field, but then would only show up on camera because Goryo.
