Having hard time telling if ghost is Myling

Grinding right now and like Myling 3 times straight and we couldnt tell since the walking all the same

Supposedly, if you drop an activated flashlight on the ground at your feet, when the ghost gets closer to you the flashlight will start flickering before you can ever hear a mylings footsteps. (Normal ghost steps can be heard within 20 meters, myling steps can only be hear within 12 meters.) Assuming the ghost is on the same floor as you.

If you can hear the footsteps but the light isn't flickering, its likely to be something other than a myling.

If you aren't using any tools at all, then a number of the ghost will be hard if not impossible to identify consistently.

The only thing different about a myling is that their footstep noise has a smaller radius. They aren't actually any quieter than other ghosts within that range, however. On a smaller location that may be an issue. On larger locations, you just have to pay attention.
