I was curious about that just because of how out there the whole thing was. Never ran across someone manipulating ghost behavior before. Dude was a master troll and I'll report them for it. Thanks
Any cursed item could do it, not just the music box.
Initially thought I didn't catch what he said earlier or wasn't paying attention but my suspicions were confirmed when I deliberately selected a huge map like the asylum, and he did the exact same thing. Stood still for a minute before even entering the building and then telling everyone to follow him as he knows where the ghost is. No surprises, got the ghost right again.
This happened consistently for the next 3 maps until I decided to call him out for cheating and he had the audacity to say he is not cheating. It's obvious as hell. Asked him what's the fun of playing if you already know what the ghost is without even trying and he still continues to deny he is using any form of cheats. Kicked and reported him. Doubt anything would even happen to him since reports are pretty useless unless reported on their official discord with concrete proof like video recording of him cheating.
But even if for some reason it didn't catch someone, then the report system is flawlessly doing it's job and banning the cheaters.
Only way would be if the ghost initiates a hunt and is followed by a cursed one. That would only account for two of the three though as music box can only trigger a single hunt and hunts have cool downs. So for three back to back instances there's no way.
Music box also doesn't explain the door touches being spammed. Voodoo would if we had it. But even that wouldn't have explained the insane hunt behavior. Even with cursed hunts there is a cool down period between hunts. They don't just trigger immediately after.
I was already done playing with the guy when he spent the whole time throwing all the gear into a giant pile. Just wanted to get the last two pics and leave with our perfect game bonus before blocking the guy for being a useless pleb. Worst of it was I died getting them because I took pics of the crucifix so I was ground zero for the double burn and following hunt.
