Daily task: Survive with only the starter items

Is this broken? I've completed this twice today and can't for the life of me see that I'm doing anything wrong. Starter items - one of each: Video camera, T1 dots pen, T1 EMF, T1 spirit box, T1 notebook, T1 flashlight, T1 UV glowstick. I've survived using these items twice, and it fails to mark the objective as completed.

AND the T1 therm. I did have it, just was listing from memory, and I'm old lol

This is a known issue, and will likely be patched come the Ascension Adjustments

(in other words, it's not going to be directly hot-fixed; instead, it will likely be addressed in the next minor update)

I hope they rework it to actually require getting the ghost right while it's getting fixed.
