Yeah that's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ double standard there.
The abuser got away scot free, and the guy calling it out gets banned.
What a terrific crew!
"The guy calling it out" got banned for repeatedly posting it in their Discord. It was in the video. They didn't retaliate on him for posting a video on YouTube. He's not a partner anymore. He can still play the game.
BEARDED was told not to tell anyone about the exploit. This was the start of the conversation and wasn't even addressed to Psycho. You're framing this in a very odd way. Talk about favoritism. ..Seriously did we watch the same video?
In this case it's some bit of nonsense in a video game. Was it worth poking the bee's nest over something that had no direct impact on him. Hell no.
Now he's tagged with butting heads with developers, and then dragging it on further. Not a good look in the gaming community, and he'll be facing closed doors in the future potentially.
What he needs to do is a complete 180, get a big fat slice of humble pie, and apologize. The sooner, the better.
Having favorites is ok i guess, its their game. But brushing exploits under the rug instead of using it to your advantage and fix the stuff is kinda like shooting yourself in the leg. Twice in this case. Rip Bozo
As far as I'm concerned, they're all at fault for this situation.
Why do you think content creators rush to get videos out.
Everyone thinking this is about an "unfair" advantage in the game is SORELY missing out on the real point.
Both people were part of the same organization, both people were part of the supposedly "equal" partner program. One CLEARLY had been given an edge to monetization and views on their videos by the devs.
It's not that people think the ban in a vacuum is the issue, but rather that the ban confirms the really inappropriate behavior by the devs. Or confirms it harder(?), I think any new evidence of that kind of thing on their part is going to stoke the flames again, really.
I didn't realize they could even be banned for showing exploits. I only watched Insym up til now (got tired of his condescension and aggression with viewers though) and since he's practically firstborn-child with Phasmo, he's posted hours of exploits and still plays friendly, even non-phasmo games with the dev team.
In my opinion th3BeardedBaron did chose to not take the high road, however i believe as the person holding the moral high ground that he indeed could do what he has done. I think that what the devs have done is unbelievable in a game I enjoy. IMO I think that it only happened a few times it should have been talked about and then closed off professionally. HOWEVER, they admit that they knew that at least one streamer was actively taking advantage of a huge exploit that gave unfair advantage to one or more streamers. I understand CJ's actions if he is friends with a player, however they clearly admit that it gave Psycho a clear and obvious advantage and don't really apologise about it. This is what upsets me, in the world of small streamers who commit to promoting a small game, you should instate a streamer option to pre-play content if you wish to give advantage to creators.
Th3BeardedBaron's video can be seen on his youtube or here: https://youtu.be/mQ-5ZE7T8-0?si=pskT1J2upRJtlp_o
Curious how this is just a bit of nonsense. Other creators were intentionally given access to an exploit in order to get videos out on time in order to avoid losing views to other creators. But when confronted about it they agree with psycho who claims that it is not an unfair advantage, however the whole point of letting him use the exploit is so that he, "doesn't miss out on a big oportunity"? This is what upset me and I'd like to hear your take on it
My take?
---> Life isn't fair. <--- Life throws manure at you constantly. I'm a corporate fella that has to deal with just under 1300 retail stores for seasonal product.
My job is to keep those shelves stocked while getting kicked in the junk through customs issues, weather issues, you name it. Problems galore!
Sometimes I have to take a beating for problems outside my control, smile, and remain calm while I do my best. Been doing it for 15 years.
And I do my best. Because if I don't, there a line of people behind me that want a crack at my office.
He seems like a nice enough fella, but he's gotta settle down. How long is he going to stream with "BANNED" as the first word in his title? In the grand world of gaming content creators, he's a small fish wearing fake goggles. He can either nail that brand to the wall, or make it the petard he's hoisting himself onto at the moment.
