VSync ingame does only lock FPS by software, not hardware. I have nVidia 1080, with a heating problem. The best resolution was to set the FPS to a fix value (Control Panel) and it never heated up again. The difference is, Vsync ingame, still let the graphic card work at its fullest, but, by set it up in control panel, the graphic card only work as much as it needs for 60 fps.

If you have this powerful PC, you'd at least know this much, or google it. ^^^

If Vsync ingame fails, set your caps in Nvidia Control Panel. There's vsync there and also limiting fps.

I mentioned this because it wasn't available in the nVidia control panel until a while ago. I needed to use openHardwaremonitor to fixate my fps to slow down my graphic card.

seriously don't believe this game made your psu blow. Unless you unlocked all your GPU and CPU power limits the game itself wouldnt do that. Also stick to reliable companies for PSUs and not cheap ones that may not have the proper fail safes in place

This "Powerful" PC? Nah, a gtx 1080 is maybe mid class now...

Try comparing that to an 820m (believe it was that, can't remember). You'd realize what a mountain of a difference it can be. 820m is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ potato compared to it.

wow first one i saw claiming game blew his PSU :P.. man i have 2 PSUs one is 12 years old other is 1.. both are in working condition the only reason i changed to new one was old one was just 650W and i need a minimum of 1000W for my upgrade.. seriously PSUs last longer than any other part in your PC.. so next time get a good one. if its slotted at the bottom of ur case make sure it has enough room to breath and clean ur dust filter everynow and then so it doesnt choke for air.

That's not how it works. Your PC was the problem, not the game. A game can't blow your PSU.

I have a 1070 and my temps usually rest around 30-40. It's not the game.

Even if it does, as long as it doesn't burn through rails, most can be replaced and fixed rather easily.

I downloaded a third party FPS limiter, because AMD Adrenalin only has Radeon Chill, that unlocks the FPS cap when you do alot of ingame inputs. With the FPS Limit at a comfortable 120FPS, my GPU doesen't go over 55° (Fans are off), however even with VSync Ingame, it caps my monitor at 240FPS which is too much for a game as slow as this. One of my Friends I played this with, was on a Laptop, and he overheated in 10 minutes of ingame time.

The Laptop specs are very bad, but it was playable at the lowest settings with a 640x480 resolution. Implementing a Framecap slider could open the game up to super low spec players.

The 3rd Party FPS limiter I got is the RivaTuner that comes with MSI Afterburner.

Also, changing the refresh rate by the resolution option doesen't work. My VSync kept 240FPS instead of 144, 120 or 100.
