My guy, be glad Phasmo is on sale at all.
Steam automatically emails and push notify's users of the Steam app of discounted items on their wishlist ONLY when it's a 20% off (or a higher percentage) sale.
If you don't know to say anything except "it's cheap enough already" or some stupid variance, don't bother. You're just looking ignorant yourself.
I just thought it was worth making the developers aware for the future, or for them to rectify this soon if they're not aware. The increased sales from having a 20% off sale and notifying ACTUAL interested individuals would vastly offset the profit margin being lower, if not make it completely void.
To put it more simply; Cheaper copies & potentially free advertising to actual interested people > higher profit margin per copy in terms of overall net profit. They'll sell more copies and by proxy, make more profit.
Thanks for your comment/reply!
It shows up more on searches that way as well as hits the notification.
However, I think they are still trying to fix some glaring issues that might put off new players (the equipment interface for one).
The time to push awareness of the game will be when some of those things are in a better state, or especially when another feature is released (like new models, or horror 2.0 stuff, etc).
I don't agree, at least not with your reasoning. Almost 4 years in Early Access is absolutely ridiculous. So because of that, if they were to discount it at all...considering it's been in early access for 4 years, I'd prefer to see the game be $9.99USD or even less.
Adding the 4 years of early access to the fact that the developers are bothering to put the game on sale at a discount of less than 20% DEFINITELY says that they have no idea what they're doing. Which despite me having no interest in the game whatsoever, is really disappointing.
Im-press-ive...!
