Does EMF 5 during ghost event (not hunt) count towards a EMF 5 evidence?

It depends on the event I think. My rule of thumb is that if it STAYS at emf 5 and does not fluctuate then it is EMF 5. Certain events and hunts can make it go crazy and thus make it unreliable. I can be wrong about the events though.

All electronics including EMF go crazy during (most) events and hunts, it doesn't mean EMF 5. The way EMF 5 works is every time a ghost with EMF 5 creates an EMF interaction (Door touches, object throws, after events, etc) there's a 25% chance that it'll display EMF 5 instead of its regular value.

Side note for the T1 EMF, if its little arm occasionally touches EMF 5 it doesn't mean it's EMF 5, when the T1 EMF displays EMF 5 the arm will go all the way into the red past the EMF 5 marker and stay there for moments at a time.
