Does prestige also reset item tiers ?

It's probably a stupid question. I like the idea of prestiges but I absolutely despise tier I items. Does increasing prestige remove the unlocked tiers of an item ?

It resets everything, except the stats screen, which keeps the same and the Prestige level, which raises by one.

So yes, items and their tiers need to be farmed again. As far as i've heard, they want to rebalance the grind a littlebit though, so it might be worth waiting a littlebit, if you're not interested in the prestige level itself.

Yes, the prestige is a choice to reset progress to zero for the benefit of gaining a visual cosmetic on your ID card.

It's an optional feature if you want to challenge yourself to grinding back up and want a cool visual, but otherwise isn't necessary if you'd rather keep your items.
