I'm certain that has to be a bug, as it doesn't happen all the time. But it's the reason why I've kind of kept to the glowstick because it is easier to keep them lit while thrown onto the ground while I take the photo.
You have to charge it for awhile, not just shine the UV on it for a moment and instantly switch to your camera to take a picture. And the weaker your UV option, the longer it takes to charge up. IE, with a glowstick it might take 10~ seconds, with the T3 super lamp it takes closer to 2-5 seconds. You're not giving it any time to charge up, so of course it vanishes when you put the glowstick away to take out your camera.
EDIT: And to be clear - those are the MINIMUM exposure times that you need for a given print to be sufficiently charged up with each tier. I'm not too certain on their duration once charged, but I would like to say it's relevant to how much longer after that minimum time you charge it up.
Not "slowly fade away", it blinked gone. I thought it had simply disappeared (timed out), but the second I switched to the UV light again, it was there again. Wait 10 seconds, swtich to camera, gone.
I haven't had it happen lately, but I use the glowstick mostly now, so no idea if it's just because I don't deal with them the same.
