Near immediate ghost hunt

I’m not complaining about it but like how did that happen?

Me and my friend were in the house for about a minute, the hunt started and we checked our sanity and both of us were at 80% or above.

I’m kind of knowledgeable at this game so to my knowledge no ghost can do that right?

Yea, some ghost events do involve the ghost moving towards you, but making contact will only lower your sanity. One of the main tells for a hunt is the ghost will be singing/humming ring around the rosie or some other melody, though I'm not sure if this always happens.

The ghost will pick a random hunt sound, which can include humming/singing, but can also be one of the others. That sound will also be the same for every hunt in that investigation, while events still have a random sound every time.

Had several instant hunts/deaths as well. Seems the devs are going out of their way to drive players away. Guessing they are looking to have an excuse to close the game.

The Thaye is able to trigger hunts at ~90% sanity within the first minute of the game, and it decreases as it "ages". May have been that. Apart from the, the Demon can also hunt at 80%.
