Near immediate ghost hunt

I’m not complaining about it but like how did that happen?

Me and my friend were in the house for about a minute, the hunt started and we checked our sanity and both of us were at 80% or above.

I’m kind of knowledgeable at this game so to my knowledge no ghost can do that right?

Which ghost was it? If it was a demon it has an ability to hunt at any sanity

It was a hantu, I thought it was a demon too but like it wasn’t

If it was a Hantu, then your friend used a cursed item, most likely either the Tarot Cards getting the Death Card or the Voodoo Doll and got the heart pin in the first couple pins. Hantu's only hunt at 50% or less. Demon would be the only one who hunts at any sanity by it's ability, certain conditions needing fulfillment to have others hunt as well by a chance.

Mimic can mimic a demon and hunt at any time as well.

I don’t think it was a cursed item cause the only item was the circle and we didn’t have candles or lighters yet

Without visual proof, and considering your statement - I'm inclined to believe a hack then.

It is possible that it was a hunt like event, where the ghost manifests, makes noise and walks towards the player. Can you confirm it was an actual hunt based on the front door locking, someone dying, etc?

We didn’t die, I think it was a hunt though cause like the ghost chased us

The ghost can manifest and chase you, light flickering, heartbeat racing, but then vanish and go HAHHHH the moment it touches you.

Were you able to escape through the front door during this hunt?

Mate, the game are broken for now. Many times I have ghosts acting like other ghosts.

it was most likely a ghost event bc during certain ghost events it will chase a player

ghost events can sound a lot like real hunts

Yea, some ghost events do involve the ghost moving towards you, but making contact will only lower your sanity. One of the main tells for a hunt is the ghost will be singing/humming ring around the rosie or some other melody, though I'm not sure if this always happens.
