Sounds just like an unfun noob-filter to me due to how inconsistent it will be for people, who doesn't really look up every behavior on wikis. The Deogen works quite good, because it is very obvious what it does, but with this, beginners might get the impression, that they had done something wrong themselves, since it sometimes work to hide and then it suddenly doesn't work without any warning (especially since you can't check the temperatures within a hunt anyway)
What does that mean? There's not really a mechanic for something like that yet other than just seeing the player, so you might need to go into more detail with that.
And also keep in mind, that it also needs to be deducable in 0-Evidence and it seems like this would be a very hard ghost for that as of now.
Hmm that weakness should be different. How about making the players undetectable if they're near a fire source? Like holding a lit candle, and the ghost should detect them if it gets as close as 2 meters to the player. Basically the fire source would work as an inverted crucifix, "camouflaging" the player until the ghost enters the radius and sees them.
