Though how do you bring smudesticks to the challenge, given that the equipment is predetermined?
Can't use smudges. They don't give them to you for this challenge.
Yeah, another issue we've been having is literally no hiding spots. SOMETIMES we get the coolers, but most of the time nothing. That's why I wondered if it was bugged or something? but we managed to finish just by zerging and getting lucky with a few deos lol
Sometimes you can hold the door shut so it doesn't open it. Be sure to turn off any lights and electronics when you are running for a hiding spot because the ghosts can track them.
From outside the gates you can see the barrels hiding place, the stacked coolers by the white tent, and the cooler nook by the blue tent. You have to actually be in the map to see if either of the purple tents are unblocked.
You will always have the bathroom stalls, but it can be iffy on making the run unnoticed.
I actually didn't know the stalls counted as hiding spots. Do they work like the closets/lockers do?
I think so, I've had ghosts walk right up to them, and not open the one I was inside holding closed, and other times they spotted me and opened it up on me.
toilet stalls doesn't count as hiding spots, so you're not 100% save in there. That said, holding the door shut isn't possible with these, if the ghost decides to open them and even worse the ghost might deliberately check the door (though i'm not 100% sure of which doors exactely get checked or if it even happens for all non-hiding spot doors), if you're standing too close to it, so make sure to stay at the wall while hiding in there.
Overall the only reason, why they're quite good as a hiding is simply probability. Given the amount of doors in any public toilet the chances of the ghost specifically opening the door which reveals you is quite low on top of the depth of the stall reducing the possible angle of where you can be seen.
But obviously, if you've the chance to get to another, actual hiding spot (mostly in the campsite maps), then i would always prefer these over a toilet stall, but you can definitely keep them in mind for a decent emergency hiding spot.
