Hide and seek?
Does anyone have advice for this?
We're struggling, partly because the ghost keeps killing us in our hiding spots consistently.

Smudgestick, lighter and camera. Kite around the campfire or the logs if normal speed. You can rule out half the ghosts from one hunt. And you therefore have a 50% chance of knowing what it is. If you REALLY don't want to die just break line of sight and loop the ghost.

Though how do you bring smudesticks to the challenge, given that the equipment is predetermined?

Can't use smudges. They don't give them to you for this challenge.

Before you even go into the camp check for hiding spots, your first priority is a spot to hide, then gather data between hunts.

Yeah, another issue we've been having is literally no hiding spots. SOMETIMES we get the coolers, but most of the time nothing. That's why I wondered if it was bugged or something? but we managed to finish just by zerging and getting lucky with a few deos lol

There's a few hidden; it could be one of the small tents, or the yellow tent straight left of the door will have bags stacked up, or the large blue tent will have a stack of coolers sometimes. With this challenge, tbh, those spots often just mean you're gonna have to die, unless the ghost spawns just perfectly for you to dodge it running there. The problem is, there's no way to know before you go running for them which one is open XD

Have your hiding spot picked out ASAP, and try to ideally find one that is not in their immediate area of their ghost room.

Another thing to note is to, if you are on open mic... to opt to instead be on push to toggle; When a hunt starts, even some background noise could attract it's attention unknowingly, so having a dedicated sort of mute button ensures you're completely silent during hunts.

Other than those general tips... I can't really speak for specific strategies. Hunts do provide information though, which if you're dialed into can help you figure out the ghost (EG, if it's fairly average speed you could rule out stuff like Raiju and Twins)... might not be too helpful but hey... any information is better than none.
when im on a wardrobe the ghost opens the door and then gets me how do i fix this?

Sometimes you can hold the door shut so it doesn't open it. Be sure to turn off any lights and electronics when you are running for a hiding spot because the ghosts can track them.

From outside the gates you can see the barrels hiding place, the stacked coolers by the white tent, and the cooler nook by the blue tent. You have to actually be in the map to see if either of the purple tents are unblocked.

You will always have the bathroom stalls, but it can be iffy on making the run unnoticed.

I actually didn't know the stalls counted as hiding spots. Do they work like the closets/lockers do?

I think so, I've had ghosts walk right up to them, and not open the one I was inside holding closed, and other times they spotted me and opened it up on me.

toilet stalls doesn't count as hiding spots, so you're not 100% save in there. That said, holding the door shut isn't possible with these, if the ghost decides to open them and even worse the ghost might deliberately check the door (though i'm not 100% sure of which doors exactely get checked or if it even happens for all non-hiding spot doors), if you're standing too close to it, so make sure to stay at the wall while hiding in there.

Overall the only reason, why they're quite good as a hiding is simply probability. Given the amount of doors in any public toilet the chances of the ghost specifically opening the door which reveals you is quite low on top of the depth of the stall reducing the possible angle of where you can be seen.

But obviously, if you've the chance to get to another, actual hiding spot (mostly in the campsite maps), then i would always prefer these over a toilet stall, but you can definitely keep them in mind for a decent emergency hiding spot.
