Challenge rules?
Am I just missing something or does the game actually never explain what the challenge rules are?

Sure it's fine most of the time when the hint or challenge is obvious. Like the last one, Ghost Papparazzi, Lights, Cameras, Sound. That's intuitive enough to figure out.

But what does "Extreme Hide and Seek" involve?

Does that mean the ghost is super fast? There's no hiding spots? Is that it?
Sure the obvious is "Just play it and figure it out" but why can't we just have a checklist of the actual changes? Explaining to my friends what this weeks challenge is shouldn't need to rely on me finding a Youtube video a day after it comes out that explains it from a 3rd party when it could easily just be a tab in the actual game itself.

I could always be blind though, I've been playing the game for this long and I just found out there was a post match summary screen last night.

This weeks challenge is hide and seek. No sanity, nothing to restore sanity. The ghost will hunt as soon as you go in. The best thing is to hide and listen to the hunt to figure it out. Hope that helps.

You don't lose equipment on challenges, or, at least they always provide a challenge specific loadout (usually as far as I know) So that's not the issue.

The issue is just in how unclear it is in game what *exactly* the challenge parameters are sometimes. The flavor text can either be completely obvious or really vague. I'd just like an option to see the exact changes.

You're either being sarcastic, or missing the point of the question.

Would be great to have the parameters shown as a list in the challenge screen, but maybe they wanted to be as vague as possible on purpose so you can see for yourself what the challenge is about.

I think part of the challenge is figuring out what the rules are. Like, this week has "kills extend hunts" on and we didn't know that the first time and got TPK'd. Going in blind is a part of the experience I enjoy.

I do wish, however, that you could have the presets for old challenge modes in the customization area so you could go back and replay some of the custom modes from the past. Since you can't be sure about all the settings, and probably won't remember them after a month or two, it can be kinda hard to recreate a challenge after a while.
