Question playing in VR
I have a VR headset, but no longer have enough space to set up an actual playing area. Is there a way to play this game with a VR headset while sitting down? I know some games can be played sitting and some you have to actually stand up and move around. I'm not entirely sure how well this game would play while sitting and still using the keyboard (or if it is even possible), but I figured I'd ask.

Thanks!

it's not worth the trouble. VR in this game is very wonky.

Oh! Good to know! Thank you. Saved me some trouble. I'll try asking again after they work on it some more. :-)

hm i'd say try it out. I had fun in VR that is if you don't get motion sick easily. As for the space, you don't need a lot of it. Just have room to crouch down if you want to pick up stuff and that's the extend of it.

I use to play the game in VR a year or so back, it use to run real smooth even on my older PC tho not sure what changes took place but it is super jittery now and feels weird.

Side note I use to also live stream this at the same time on a single PC, never had what ever is going on before, it always ran smooth and my current PC has a 3080 in it and my old PC had a 980 TI in it.

Something got changed, I kept seeing people talking about it but never thought about it until I tried playing it 4 hours or so ago and even on low it is still jittery.

You can forget that.

Sounds like it actually might be worth a try. I have enough space to move my office chair out of the way and get maybe 4 feet x 3 feet or so....now ya'll have me wanting to try it again. :-P

I only play in VR and I rarely have any trouble.. Except for that pesky flash light hand placement.. Just bothers me way too much.

However back to your question, you dont really have to move much so if you are just standing somewhere in a room you should be fine, Phasmo is a slow paced game anyway so you wont have to swing your arms around. What I cannot positively say is if you can still crouch in VR with a button, Ill try next time Im playing should be in a few hours at most Ill keep you in mind.

I never play seated because it breaks immersion but I can definitely say that VR is worth it. I wouldn't even bother with this game if it didn't have vr support.

You can play VR seated. There is an option to grab items like in Half-Life Alex. I would also recommend moving the belt to the shoulder position so your guide book is over your right shoulder and walkie is over the left. And then adjust the offset for the other items depending on how you sit. Depending on the type of controller you can adjust toggle hold or manual. I have an index so I use manual. I do accidentally grab the item on my left hip alot but that is usually the main annoyance. Some times in a panic getting away from the ghost i struggle with the door. Besides those issues I would say VR is a good experience. It's not any worse than some games that are VR only.
