how to use a first-level radio?

I've seen a lot of manuals on this subject, but I can't quite figure it out, please tell me specifically what the light bulbs on the radio mean

[Red]

Red light means voice command/voice was heard, white light means ghost responded. There will always be 1 white light to show that the device is on, the other will be blank/red/white depending if not speaking, heard, response.

There are two main lights you need to pay attention to.
There is a microphone light and a ghost light (will have a ghost emoji next to it).

Microphone:
- Red [Means the spirit box is working and picked up your question]

Ghost Light:
- Red [Means your question was **heard** by the ghost. THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE A POSITIVE RESPONSE]
- White [Means the ghost has responded to your question and you have POSITIVE evidence. You should also hear some sort of audible voice coming through the speaker]

**Do note that the spirit box is a fussy item and ghosts will not always respond to it even if the evidence is Spirit box. Sometimes it takes time to get a ghost to respond to it and it takes multiple tries at separate times.

You shouldn't really say that the "red ghost light" means "the ghost heard your communication"--it means that you, the player, successfully activated the Spirit Box, either by saying a recognized phrase or by using the fallback mechanisms.

If you see the light light up red, you should simply take this to mean that the Spirit Box IS working, and that you didn't get a response. Keep trying if you know you're close to the ghost, but don't waste too much sanity if it doesn't respond within ten or so attempts. Try again later if you're desperate for the evidence.
