How to force use tier II and III equipment in lobby game

Hello there fellow hunters I am having trouble understanding how to force the use of Tier II and III items in lobby games where I am the highest level player. I have 3 items at tier II for the moment (I am level 20-something)

I play with 3 of my friends and sometimes we have Tier II sometimes all Tier I and we can't find a way to force use my items.

We found that if I am not hosting sometimes we get 1x Tier I flashlight and 3x Tier II flashlight, and the game after it's all tier I flashlight and can't change it

Any help would be very appreciated! Thanks a ton

The starting equipment is provided by the hosts setting for the various items.

The rest can be added by each player, where it uses the first come first serve-method, so if others have already filled the spots of an item, then you can't add more items anymore. Others have to then remove things first before you can add your things again. There's no option to override the choices of others.

Make sure, that people with lower tiers doesn't use the auto-add feature, so that they doesn't get priority over you (i'm not sure how it works in detail though)

It's likely "whoever finishes loading back to the lobby first" gets their loadout added to the truck first.

So to OP, if you all want Your items first, then host the game yourself so your tier upgrades apply to the baseline truck items, then set your own loadout to auto-add and add it, and have the rest of the team disable auto add, and just manually add it after each round to make sure yours go first.
