Goryo broken?

Twice now today we've had Goryos that straight up refused to appear on DOTS for 15 minutes straight. We were playing on Amateur, so it shouldn't be hiding the evidence.

Is it just broken or are we missing something obvious?

We should be doing everything right
- Video camera, placed next to DOTS projector (works for other ghosts with DOTS)
- No player in the room/entire house, even
- Observing the camera feed with four eyes at pretty much all times (considering we had nothing else left to do, except wait for that...)

Twice we've done that and the Goryo just never appeared...

Can confirm, had a goryo in Edgefield, placed two DOTS pens facing at the center of the room, was outside the room with the videocam, no dots. Placed the videocam in the room, watching the room from the truck, no dots.

Was using the T1 dots though, but still the evidence should work as expected.

I wonder if it's some kind of interaction with no player being in the house? Is it maybe behaving like a ghost event or hunt which arent supposed to happen unless a player inside? Like, Dots wont show because the ghost cant show with no player inside?

I guess the question I'd have for this is "Do other dots ghosts also not appear on the cam when no player is indoors?"; Or is it goryo specific?

The way ghosts behave with DOTS was changed in this update, they have a short time in which they can show their silhouettes if they have DOTS as evidence and will follow the player if they're inside the room.

As far as I know they haven't changed the way goryo interacts with DOTS which can only be shown through the videocam and if the player is outside the ghost room, so it's unclear to me if the DOTS can be shown if the player remains inside the room with the goryo, since they can definitely appear wherever the ghost is roaming at.

The latest change related to the DOTS was: "The ghost will no longer have a high chance to fail to show DOTS if there is a room above you or the ghost"

In my case the ghost room was just above Edgefield's living room (the master bedroom) so even without the fix, there shouldn't have any issues with the evidence.

Wanted to verify IF the DOTS could be shown while being outside the house, haven't seen them so far.

even today, I just got the same having a goryo not showing up on dots at all, no one in the house. hope its fixed sooner than later.

It's easier if someone is standing in front of the ghost room, because then the ghost can actually approach this player and doesn't remain standing in a corner somewhere.

Doesn't work for Goryo though, since a ghost will only walk towards the nearest player in the same room, which is obviously the condition of where a Goryo won't show itself at all. If you've seen it running towards you, then that's pretty much just RNG.

I had multiple scenarios where Goryo was seen even by mere eyes. So Goryo is definitely not alright. Becuase sometimes he reveal himself only when we were just leaving the place. Or Mimic without orb. Which is super rare, but it happend to me twice in row few months back.

Best thing you can do is report it, preferably with a video. I've yet not experienced this and also not seen anyone actually showing it

Just in case there's confusion, Goryos will still do ghost events where they manifest near a player. The only thing that only shows up on the video camera is their DOTs, you will not be able to see them without looking through a camera.
If you think you are seeing Goryo DOTs without a camera, then double check to make sure you aren't seeing an object get thrown through the DOTs field, your breath fog, or the ghost's physical manifestation (from an event or hunt).
