How to add two flashlights as starting players?
Me and another player are starting to play the game after the "remake" on everything, so we have 0 cash. And the game is not letting the other player add their "free" starting lantern, it says he has 0 in stock, so we are stuck with only one. Am i missing something?

Yea, that was it.

Cannot bring in other players "starter" items. For 2 player, you can have 1 use the flashight and 1 use the UV stick. Its bright enough.

This has to be a bug right? I just don't understand the intent behind saying players immediately after a total rework and reset have to play solo or deal with a single flashlight before being able to use the items they're given for free anyway.

Nope, it's not a Bug. there's one flashlight in the starter set, the rest needs to be bought and added. If they would give you 4 for free, then there wouldn't be a need to buy them and it wouldn't be possible to add them as non-hosts.

I mean I get that, but if two people who each have their own starter set are going on a mission together why does one have to leave their stuff at home? Because it's arbitrarily a free kit for the group and not each person?
There's definitely still a need to buy them since now there're three tiers of them for one thing, and if everyone only has their own free flashlight you still need to buy another as soon as you lose yours.

the starter set doesn't need to be bought. It is always free and provided by the game (its tier depends on the hosts choose tier). You only need to pay for the 2nd evidence item you put in the truck and the 3 additional flashlights you might add.

That said, you can save money by simply not adding additional evidence items, since the ones provided will always stay free.

Obviously it is annoying the way it is with the first investigation you're playing, but after one game you should already have enough money to get the additional flashlights.

Fair enough. I'm not saying it isn't tolerable, just that it makes absolutely no sense to me.

I guess you could say it's for budget reasons, since having a single flashlight is better than having none at all. Plus, I can imagine the CEO being all like "We don't have the money to spend on duplicate light sources for you newbies, however, you should be able to work with the UV glowstick and DOTS pen for your first contract."
