New "progression" is so faulty it forces people to change how they play.

Ill try to keep it short. There is NO REASON TO PRESTIGE, AT ALL. No matter how many hours you played before, you are stuck with complete, utter trash that is t1 gear. It was kind of fun the first time, and it quickly became obnoxious how god-awful it is. I got a free prestige because i had a hundred+ levels before the update, so why do i have to grind for access to gear that im already used to? Why do you treat me and others like we just bought the game today? So, of course, im forced to go play zero evidence x12-15 to power-level to like at least 70. And after that, i will never click the prestige button, because i WILL NOT use t1 ever again. Why the ♥♥♥♥ would i subject myself to that? Only after that "70" will i be able to once again play normally, like a real human being.

This is my plan, as well. The new progression system is forcing most players to play the game differently and IMO, that's not good for the future of the game. Many, if not most, players have become more risk-averse; most cautious in their gameplay because they do not have the money or gear to take risks. Since risk is often required to learn more about ghost mechanics, I'm not sure how this is benefiting the community.

I'm glad we have the choice because I'd rather gain knowledge and experience, rather than repeating the noob cycle continuously...for a number, lol.

Of you don't want to prestige, then don't. Nobody is forcing you. Now levels mean something, what did levels mean before? Nothing. They basically just showed how much you had played, that's it.

Exactly. I grinded so much just to unlock the final T3 item at level 90, feel that sense of satisfaction. You'll enjoy your T3 items for 10 more levels then lose everything again? no way in hell. Prestiging should be reworked imo. Take a page from DBD devs' books, allowing you to prestige a character without losing any of your items.

Also, what's the point of prestige if you just keep everything? What exactly is point there? You aren't starting new, all you are doing is changing one number to 1 and keeping everything else that lets you rapidly progress.

I'm not doing it? I'm just saying this is a bad implementation of prestiging when this update already reset everyone back to square one. They could have made prestiging more worthwhile instead of making it look like a tedious stupid grind? Give us a fourth item slot upon prestiging, for example. Additional sprint stamina etc, so much they can actually do to make players actually wanna prestige. Not for purely cosmetics?

What's wrong with keeping the existing T3 equipment that you already grinded so hard for when prestiging? They can always increase XP to level up when you're P2 and so forth. My point is, who the f wants to play with T1 garbage equipment again?

I mean, I can see the issue right away. Having T3 equipment makes easier to gain new prestige, meaning you aren't showing that you got better, it just shows you got better gear. You might as well not prestige if you want to keep T3.

Entire point of prestige is to do full reset and get back on levels. You are supposed to get better so it takes less time, not get extra tools that make it easier.

Prestige is bragging rights rewards, not the goal itself.

Such as faster leveling, prestige tokens, more loadout slots, etc. I play with a rotating group of 7 people and I'm going to be the only one prestiging because no one else wants to reset their equipment.

I currently believe that we need at least a tiny bit more incentive to prestige and the leveling requirements need to be lowered. If most people go "why the ♥♥♥♥ would I prestige?" maybe it needs another look at.

Then you just make it so Prestige becomes a 'Necessity' in players' minds, instead of being an 'Option'.

The whole reason it only offers minor cosmetics is because they dont want it to BE a necessity for players to prestige; Nor for players to feel like they have to slog through something they want to do because it literally gives them actual benefits and they're missing out if they don't.

Further, You'd start having people penalize others who don't have the requisite prestige; "You're not prestige 3 and can't carry 5 items because of it? Get out of my lobby, we're min-maxing here."

Play with friends, then one person can prestige, work their way to lvl 30 and then the next person prestiges. If you don't care about prestiging at all then don't do it. There's zero benefit for doing so. Which kind of begs the question as to why there's even a prestige system in the game to begin with.

I hope they already have plans on adding more options upon prestiging, getting a badge and an extra loadout don't seem enough. Cosmetics like an exclusive jacket, pants, t-shirt, dress, glasses etc. would be cool rewards for the next player customization update.

The current prestige system is barebones, just to test and see if it works.

How does it force you to play differently? I literally just do, whatever i've done before the update and it works perfectly fine. The functionality of all the items didn't change apart from breath not being evidence anymore and footprints now counting as UV (which is both not that hard to adapt to)

Though obviously if i (for whatever weird reason) would've the intend to "show", how bad the update is, then i would just act as if nothing works on purpose, like seeing something being thrown and then hold the EMF at another item 5 m away to complain, that it doesn't work (completely ignoring the fact, that this never had worked in past patches as well). But i really don't want to be that girl, since it can't help the devs making the game better in any way.

And i've currently reached lvl 46 without any power leveling. Always confuses me, why people think, that they would get 0 exp for anything below 12x multiplier.

You've only explained, that you're forcing yourself to something you like and then you tried to frame it as if the devs forced you to do this. I'm not interested in these kind of weird logics, because it is not geared towards making the game better, but just to make the devs feel bad about something you've done to yourself.
