Also, The ghost is an actual invisible entity that roams around the map sometimes, it always returns to that 'home room' but is not specifically bound there; Wherever this entity is when a hunt begins is where the hunt starts. Yes, Even if it's in another room or part of the house entirely. Further, Any ghost event will actually move the ghost to the spot the ghost was at the very end of the event; Meaning if it events near you, it's now capable of hunting from that spot and will begin right next to you.
One question I have for you is 'Are you wearing head gear items like the Head Cam/Head Lamp/NVG"? If you turn those on, they are electronic; And just like other electronics will attract the ghost, any ghost, to your location, and is easy to forget you have it on.. And for a raiju, it will in fact speed the ghost up when it's in range too.
To answer the last question though, I haven't had any problems with telepathic or misbehaving raijus.
Thanks for replying, I am ashamed to admit that I forgot the fact that equipment also affects it's speed... that at least explains the boosted speed lmao
I also didn't know about the whole invisible entity and being able to just start a hunt where it currently is located, I genuinely appreciate that info!
As for your question, I don't use headcams when solo grinding since (to me at least) that seems like a pointless spending when I'm the only one, nor was I holding anything electronic at the time (Side challenges involved smudge sticks/incense so I only had them and 1 matchbox in my inventory) so that sadly wouldn't explain the instant lock ons either that I experienced in the 3 games I played
