Did Spirit Get a Speed Boost?
Did Spirit get a speed boost, or am I and everyone I played with misremembering that it was never a slow ghost?

I'm asking this because I played several rounds with different groups of random people of varying levels, and several times when we had a fast ghost on no evidence runs, we were thinking it was a Moroi or a Theye due to the speed, but then the game told us it was a Spirit and EVERYONE was calling bs on it, even people who were Prestiged.

Spirit has no special abilities. It was never slower or faster than normal.

I know, that's why we were all confused. We categorized Spirit as one of the average speed ghosts that are hard to deduce, but these Spirits that we incorrectly guessed had speeds equal to a Theye, Moroi, and Revenant.

did you play on a higher speed modifier? The current challenge for example has a faster ghost currently.

No, no speed modifiers. We were doing EXP farming, but we left the ghost at its original speed.

I think what may have tripped you up was Line of Sight Speed - there are four specific ghosts that do not gradually speed up with continuous line of sight:

Deogen: pretty much reversed - they get slower
Thaye/Hantu: these two dont' get ANY speed increase/decrease with line of sight.
Mimic: ONLY when it's chosen to mimic one of the other three mentioned above.

We can also technically lump Revenant into that as well because its speed boost is instant and not gradual, but that'd be nitpicking.

It might've been the case, but I'm surprised the others were fooled by it as well.
