Mare had multi evidence
I was playing with friends, we got spirit box, ghost orbs, and ghost writing. when we went back in to get a picture, freezing temps came up so we thought possible mimic but when no UV showed up and we died, we called it; only for it to be a mare. so why was there freezing temps?

How did you determine there were freezing temps? Was it by breath?

Breath is no longer freezing evidence; They show up at 5c and below, so you NEED to use the thermometer now to check for freezing temps. With the T1 thermo, you want to see values recognizably below the 0c/32f line.

I've still only got T1 thermometer, but I can stand in the ghost room for 5+ mins and it's always above freezing (4°C+) but I KEEP getting the ghost type wrong because I "missed" freezing temperatures. It's happened 4 or 5 times in the last day, getting tired of it.

The houses have heaters, When the breaker is on, the central heating is on too- Meaning the whole house is actively warming up, while only the room the invisible entity is in is going down.

If the ghost roams through enough rooms, the pace at which it cools rooms can get out-weighed by the map wide warming; IE, If the ghost cools at 0.29c/min and the heater warms by 0.1c/min, when the ghost is roaming through 3+ rooms, it literally isn't spending enough time in any single room to cool it down to freezing.

I explain it a lot more thoroughly in this thread here, There's a bit of repeated information, but these posts here all cover this subject

The TL;DR of which is basically, if you suspect freezing but the ghost just isn't giving it to you, or you've noticed significant ghost activity in multiple rooms, Turn the breaker off for a little while to let temps fall without the heater sabotaging the cooling process.

The T1 is arguably better than the T2. Meanwhile the T3 is sort of a side-grade rather than being strictly better than T1.

If you have the T1 out you'll actively start seeing temperatures go up or down without having to push a button, and you can leave it sitting in the ghost room to check later.

The T3 will measure the temps nearly instantly so you don't have to wait.

The T2 has neither the passive measurement of the T1 nor the speed of the T3.

Huh... that's actually genius. Might have to start trying that for stubborn freezing ghosts.
