Friend got level 1-001 meanwhile I'm still at level 001

I had around 400 levels and my friend 100, when he logged on he got prestige 1 meanwhile I got nothing and need to unlock all the maps all over again while he doesn't.

Is there something I need to do for me to get my prestige level??

It was supposed to be automatic, but some people experienced the old save reset issue between the last time they played and when they logged into the new update; Result being, the game thinks you'd never played before since you're now a level 1 who never logged into the game before.

Now that it's broken, You'd have to join the discord and contact mod mail to get a corrected save(ask in phasmo-chat about it); But currently they're burried in support requests and I've heard they aren't currently accepting new requests.

You could try having your friend send you his safe file and replace yours with it; See if that gives you your first prestige at least. Just make sure you back up your existing save folder before doing anything with it, in case the support on mod-mail need your save file to fix it or something.

Saves are located in
C:\Users\<your user>\AppData\LocalLow\Kinetic Games\Phasmophobia
Easiest way to reach it on windows is to type "%appdata%" into the windows search bar sans quotes, and go "up" one folder to app data and then into locallow.

I went from lvl 400 n something to 200 and already made my badge, they should fix it and give us a new opportunity to change it
