Though given that the ghost will roam to a player in the DOTS state, if there is one to roam to, it is most effective to stay in the ghost room with the dots pen in your hand. It is still possible to see it from a cam, but if there is no player, then it will just keep roaming like before and just might not run through the pens light cone, if you're unlucky (especially in bigger rooms).
There is the one ghost type whose DOTS shadow is only visible on camera, so having a video cam at the same time is also good.
This doesn;t mean the old method of monitoring the cam feed in the truck is impossible, just less reliable than before.
