Delete the item shop, it just doesn't work.
The store itself is not intuitive and it's buggy. Just delete it and bring back old store.

IMO it is the biggest weak point of the game. Im not sure if its just having played alot of indie/EA games but the store doesnt give me much trouble at all though. As i said though. Devs weak point is def UI

I have to agree. It's extremely confusing and not at all intuitive to use. Needs to be properly overhauled again

I'm literally too stupid to figure out how to use it. I hate it. I hate that the default loadouts on this new update are for tiers you haven't unlocked yet too, so autobuy is a joke. Everything about the shop is scientifically designed by a team of experts to be as unusable as possible.

I made a guide if you want some help there:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3021840075

The main things to note about the store is that:
1. The plus and minus buttons only change the equipment list and don't do any actions themselves.
2. The equipment list is what you have selected and not your actual equipment. The actual equipment is shown above the item icons.
3. Pressing the buttons (add/remove/buy/sell) will do those actions on the amount of items you have put in the equipment list
4. The layout DOES work with the plus and minus buttons. You put the amount of items you want, and then you press add to put it into the truck.

Yeah I can agree that it is not intuitive, but I will at least say that it is learnable. I've had it figured out for a good while now... perhaps I can shed some light on the part(s) that's troubling you.... uhh, just don't expect me to explain the whole thing - would like to not assault anyone with a wall of text.

Yeah, i think i understood why i said ''buggy''. An user pointed out that the default loadouts on this new update are for tiers you haven't unlocked yet and that's why i couldn't click ''ready'', it was grayed out and that annoyed me enough to alt f4 the game and post this thread.
But i'm still saying that is not at all intuitive to use, and i've been playing this game since release lol.

They could solve a lot of headaches by simply separating the shop and loadout sections to be used as they should be. Store should be solely for buying and selling items. Loadout should be solely for putting items into the vehicle for the mission. Then there's no confusion. I made a mock up of this in paint in like 5 minutes before realising that Phasmo has no feedback contact aside from this forum. I know its a small team, but I wish they'd at least have a feedback section in the discord, where you could attach images.

Amen to that. It took me more then an hour to figure out so now It is 'easy' to use but still damn.

I'm pretty sure you can click ready regardless of anything you do with the shop.

Was a map selected?

As for the "default" loadouts: I'm almost sure those are not "buggy" per sé, but simply saved from before the update.
I know my number 1 loadout had one of every item before, and if I select it now it has (big surprise:) 1 of every item. Even ones I haven't unlocked yet.
And I can't add or buy the items I don't have, so THAT is working as intended, but I can hit "ready" as soon as I select a map.

All in all, while it may not be super intuitive, I'm fairly sure there's no bugs at work here.

Im curious, what kind of person have designed it. :steamfacepalm:
x-Whatisdead-x Nov 2, 2023 @ 6:22pm
yeah it's pretty bad - needs like "move to truck" or "move to storage" options for your current equipment and then have a separate store that has items available and then an "owned" number visible in the shop
glowstick Nov 2, 2023 @ 7:08pm
They're working on a new design.
Pwincess Nov 3, 2023 @ 12:07am
It stinks of something that was assembled to meet some sticky requirements (up to 4 people with automatic loadouts in the same lobby, with drop in/out and potentially different tiers of gear seems like an awful thing to plan around), and then ended up a functional design that solved so many problems but has the drawback of being awful.
Desert Fox Nov 3, 2023 @ 12:17am
this is so busted compared to the old way i like the stroe front but it needs to be a lot clear on what we can buy how much we have and most important on how to add it to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ truck
