Stuck on Initializing

Been trying to play after the new update, but after the splash screens it just goes to Initializing. After about 30mins my PC just blue screens. Any help?

Never had a problem with phasmo before i got same issue i load in play a game on multiplayer go to finish the level close the van up and my friend is stuck in the truck and im stuck on on initaliszing ive got a decently fast and powerful pc all my graphic drivers are up to date and its happened 3 times know we have to log off or leave game

Has anyone figured this out yet? I updated the game and its stuck at initializing as well... i just bought it for my friend so we can play together and he had no issue with it loading but i do... do i have to uninstall then redownload or soemthing?

Reinstall worked for me but only once, I closed the game and now it doesn't work anymore

I also got this problem, I have tried most "fixes" but none of them have helped me, even reinstalling the game (twice) + clearing its cache.. with no change.

sudden urge to play this since last year and now its unplayable..

same issue, first time trying to open the game it initialized for about 3 minutes and then showed me the legacy badge tutorial screen, which then froze again and i foolishly closed the game at that point, now i seem to be permanently stuck on initializing every time i try to boot the game up

To add to my comment above we figured out my friend has the stuck in the van bug the moment he left mine was able to finish the round only since the update this has happened i played on solo was able to play solo games but did have lag spikes some big some not to noticable and i had evadence showing over the map a bit of a pain when searching fr the ghost room as i couldnt determin were as each room my emf was goin off objects thrown in every room and dots wasnt working very well and i put a camera down and i couldnt switch between them i was stuck on the first camera i put down so in all solo was working but also comes with its heavy bugs as well. my friend still cant play as he stuck in the van when he tryes to end the level so he is just going to wait for the bug fixes

My friend had the same issue and I managed to fix it for them. What we did was go to your phasmophobia folder under %appdata% AppData\LocalLow\Kinetic Games and rename the phasmo folder. Then go to the game in steam and click launch. It will reinstall the game and that did the trick. (we did set the launch options to directx 10 with "-force-feature-level-10-1" before, but saw that the map didnt load correctly and then removed the launch options again and boom done.
