The change in a nutshell:
All ghosts will step in salt but wraiths. Wraiths will not step in salt.
Only ghosts with UV (fingerprints) evidence will leave green footprints under UV light. Non-UV (fingerprints) ghosts will simply have the one salt pile step.
- it can't disturb the salt pile (even non UV-ghosts will step in it, just not leaving UV-prints). Us a motion sensor to see, if it walked right over it, if you need prove of it for lower evidence runs
- it can still teleport to players, leaving a EMF-2 signal at the position to where it teleported to for a short amount of time (you will get the signal without anything being touched nearby)
- and as usual, it still has 3 evidences you can use to determine it on lower difficulties.
still says it cant be detected through footprints which is technically not wrong but yknow :/
In a manner of speaking, yes. It's just not a bad idea to leave a UV light of some sort near salt in case a ghost steps in it for the evidence.
I mean, yes, but to be fair there were a lot of times the ghost would be in a room with no door, or just refuse to touch the door. So you'd have to bait a hunt and hope you can check all the doors it touched after the hunt. This just allows the devs to make more rooms that don't have objects to interact with for fingerprints, while also not guaranteeing "easy" evidence necessarily, since the footprints aren't permanent. You can still miss the evidence if you put it down and get forced out of the location because of a hunt, or to get more items/sanity.
I will take "it's easy mode" any day over another damn attic ghost with no door that you just never ever get the evidence because you can't get it without a hunt.
