can't play singleplayer

so i just downloaded the game, i would like to play singleplayer but the game doesn't let me start

Are you clicking the ready button? Believe start will be greyed out until you do.

Press space to snap to the corkboard... then there should be an arrow on the left and right sides of the screen.

Left arrow goes to the location select, which is mandatory to pick one (it's not on anything by default... not even random)

Right arrow goes to the shop/loadout screen - just use the ALL loadout, hit the Add button and go nuts for now; don't worry about having cash/items given the reset is tomorrow. You are always given some gear for free, so this is optional at first. Later on, it doesn't hurt to bring extra copies of gear items.
