Playstation 4?

So, iwas wondering. because in the upcoming updates, Phasmophobia will come to Playstaion 5 and XBOX one. I was wondering if Phasmophobia will also be coming out for the older consoles aswell? Like Playstation 4 (asking because i want to play it with some friends)
So is it only for the "Early Access" on PS5 and XBOX X/S? or will it just be these consoles?

Nah people are wrong about the specs they are using pro varients OG PS4 is closer to a R9 270, also I was running FFXV at 1080p/Medium/60 on a 960 back in the day which blew out PS4 pros 45 FPS experience in Performance mode
1050ti is like 30% faster and a 1060 is 130% better, The pro model is also roughly a 1050ti.
No one is gonna also make the game for PS4Pro only either.

99% of people here have no clue how their PC works. It's really obvious when they start pointing fingers at what they think causes their issues.

I think this is more likely than a lot of us think. I think a lot of these younger people just now coming into steam may not be as computer literate as us. I bet most of the people with actual game issues that I have seen post on the forums about issues, are people with less than steam level 3. I'm sure not ALL of those people are brand new to steam or PC gaming...but based on a lot of matches I have been in there are definitely a ton of computer illiterate people.

I think a bit of that has to do with this game NOT being on console which is known to be more user friendly especially for people who don't know how to repair or maintain their own set ups. Most people would just throw out their consoles and buy a new one if they get something like Red light or red ring...when both are usually pretty easily fixable with new thermal paste or an aftermarket heat sink/ fan replacement.

I think many of said people are just coming onto steam (based on the profiles I have seen) simply to play one or two games and wouldn't be on here if Phas was on console.

Do they not teach anything about computers really in school anymore? Like basics on how to maintain your computer and keep it running well?

Edit: Also, on the other side of the coin...some of these people may have great computers...still may not know anything about computers and their PCs may be mass infected with malware. They have to wait until geek squad can "service" their computers.

Agreed. You nailed it. Weird thing is I taught myself everything I know about computers. Didn't require college or school. A lot of people also just don't know how to think critically or analytically and just give up when they have a issue and never fix it or hope it fixes itself. Then when things don't work, "It must be this the game!" and refuse to take any advice that they feel may imply the issue is on their side.

More like we're unaware how Kinetic handles the engine right now.

I'm not saying that Phasmo is impossible to run on older consoles, but that Kinetic doesn't want to bother porting the PS4 version for whatever reason and it's for the best now that they have more work to do with 3 different versions and people are desperate for content; the less rushed a product is, the better, they don't want to make a "Cyberpunk 2077" situation. Besides it's almost 3 years since the current gen started, console people interested on playing it should get a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S already.

Me mentioning that the game struggles with an average PC build is taking into consideration the countless posts I've read of people having issues with the game on decent PC setups; I personally have some graphic and performance issues with my PC but that's more about the current state of the game than my PC itself.

if you have issues running this game it's your own fault.

the game could easily be ran on a ps4, the graphics aren't even up to ps3 standards lmao.

remember people, gta5 was originally released on ps3, and yet these same people would most likely say it's not able to be ran on a ps3.

as for the reason why it's not going to be on ps4, that's because sony themselves said that 2023 was the year to phase it out.

it has nothing to do with "will it run" or "if it will run" and everything to do with the fact that they were told no by sony.
