Vr requirements

Any specs? It says gtx 970 on a store page, but my game isnt playable on a gtx 1070

I read that from patch 0.6 the performance in the game got worse. You could try launching a earlier version up to 0.5.2.1 using proton launcher. Performance might be better. Also lowering textures to half resolution might help. But yeah, newer patches seem to have made the game run worse in vr.

I'm using an RTX2070 super and have not been able to play the game in VR since the VR overhaul update. It works but frame rate is all over the place and make me ill.

This isn't the best optimized title but it works fine for me on a 3070. If you're running the game with VD, you can't run the game windowed. It needs to minimized otherwise it caps the game to 60fps which is a terrible experience.

Not just phasmophobia, really any VR title. Too much less than a 3070 and you're not going to have a smooth experience.

hell nah. Devs should just optimize their garbonzo games made on unity, cuz my cpu and gpu arent being utilized. Half life Alyx runs with zero issues. But in a long run yeah I agree, but there are no games right now

Even with a 3060, the game is barely playable at 30 fps if reduicing the render quality at 50% don't waste your time honnestly, in 2020, i could run the game in vr with a 1050ti smoothly

I use a 1660ti and experience minimal issues in vr, been playing in it near exclusively for the past year. Typically performance is worst right after a new update before the devs patch it for vr users.
