I can't access the Ghost Writing book or DOTS

I've tried looking up online and watching tutorials to see how to place them (i.e. turn on DOTS, open the book), but they all say to press F. For some reason, F does nothing. I also see these people having an outline that shows where you're going to place it, but I cannot figure out how to turn that on (or if I should have it in the first place). I also verified file integrity. Nothing wrong. I'm just confused. Would love some help, because I really like this game!

in training it is bugged right now, the developer knows and it will probs be fixed really soon :)

You have to position your mouse relatively close to the surface you want to clip it to for the outline to show up. Once you see the outline, then you can press F to set it.

Look to what are your keys binded.
F is the default bind, but maybe, for some strange reason, it changed, so it's better to check that out first.

If it's binded right, you have to get close to a surface (books can only be placed on the floor i think) and MAINTAIN f pressed, it's the same for cameras if you haven't got a tripod. (You can rotate cameras with your mouse)

For some items you have to press and hold F to place the item, (this will give you the outline) it's not something you switch on an off.
