Why ppl fear to join public lobbies now?

My friends (high-level guys) advised me to try this game alone or with em since the public lobby is full of toxic ppl who might get you banned. Thing is that I cannot play with em all the time due to my work schedule. 

How can you get banned in a horror co-op only game? (sorry coz I dont see any PvP material here)

So can I not play multiplayer safe anymore?

But yeah - TL:DR, as long as you try to be respectful and don't deliberately go out of your way to disrupt random public lobbies, you should be fine. In fact, I would advise asking for any ground rules the host wants to have followed.

Get out while you still can. Dev (singular) is very stubborn about updates, and the Discord is full of Yes men. Highly controversial updates such as the ban system were pushed through despite heavy criticism. Same exact thing is currently happening with the progression update. The typical Yes-Men on the forums are saying that everything is fine, but if you have any criticisms you will not be able to voice them in a way that matters. Your complaints will never be addressed. The dev doesn't care.

If I didn't buy the game the year it came out I would've refunded it the second they added the privacy policy and EULA.

But they do? You're the one complaining about people setting it up.

Considering only the host can, that means the host sets up the rules when it comes to difficulty
