Gotta learn to make better usage of your gear, eh?
Never heard of anybody really doing something like that as a method to confirm anything beyond orbs and writing, especially given how hard it is to look through all the disturbances to begin with.
And i highly doubt, that the new Obake ability has anything to do with the devs decision to specifically put 6 cameras into the van like 2 years ago.
Overall there's a more reasonable reason for that: It's just a static tool for those, who rather go into the van to check for stuff like orbs or interactions, so you've the option to put more cameras in, so that a bad camera angle doesn't force you back in again to move the camera.
And given that the van only supports one picture at a time, it's not really made to switch fast between it to follow an active hunt.
And then there's even singleplayer on top of that, where you can't even utilize that to begin with, since you can't start a hunt from the Van
