Unity Error fix and Banned from Phas multiplayer

I was having trouble with a unity error while launching phasmophobia. Specifically "Unity 2021.3.16f1_4016570cf34f. The fix for that: Go to Phasmophobia on steam, right click, manage, browse local files. On this tab, delete everything except for "Phasmophobia_Data" "Gameassembly.dll" "Phasmophobia" "UnityCrashHandler64" and "UnityPlayer.dll." Next go back to steam and right click on Phasmophobia and open properties, local files, and verify the integrity. then it should work. (I deleted a bunch of screenshots and some type of config file)

Also, how can I appeal a ban from phas when I can’t get into the discord?

All you can hope is they will listen and unban you. But if you actually cheated. Sucks to be you. If not- good luck soldier. Also it's not good to discuss bans on steam forums. A mod will see this and lock it or delete it.

Hey, while some bans can be appealed you were banned for hacking which cannot be appealed. You can continue playing singleplayer though.

Are you still able to play solo? If not, send a refund to steam as you cannot be banned completely from the game. That would break TOS.

You were using rencify's mod menu which is a permanent ban.

question, my friend sammich was banned from phas for apparently using what ever that is. She only ever plays with me and not once has she ever used cheats so how the hell is she banned for good??? We don't even go into the lobby as I always hold a private game. She tried to appeal but the mod was accusing her of deleting files, her laptop is slow ffs she cant even go to the big maps so we stick to the houses. What is going on???

I would presume, given that he is the developer and can look at the banning tools, the reason for the ban, etc, that he has sufficient reason to state you 'Were' using; not you 'Might have been' using; Ergo, Sufficient evidence of hacks/use of the stated mod was detected.

The only reason I messed with files was because I was trying to get the game to run.I saw others had the same issue, but no solution yet. I got impatient from waiting, I had this error for about 3 days, so I decided to fix it myself. And I did manage to find the fix. Aside from deleting files, I put everything back the way it should have been.

That specific mod menu is pay only so you would have to buy it with your paypal then download the files. They can't be put there accidentally.

Sorry for being so persistent here, but Phas is a fun game. I looked into that mod menu and it, supposedly, is still currently working. If it puts files in phas that aren't supposed to be there, how do they launch the game without getting the error I was getting?

I am not entirely agree with that statement.
Although i don't use mods in my games, I know that someone can use the same mod with the login from a friend and can be logged in both at the same time.

For example, the mod used for Payday 2, yes it's paid but when a friend give login name then suddenly it's not paid and both can use it at the same time.
That mod is called WeMod. So check that out if you don't believe me.

That's all what i am saying.

But one thing is true though, they did not end up there by accident.

I did more research on rencify. From my understanding, it doesn’t put files in the game directory/where phas is located. If I was using rencify, I probably wouldn’t of had this issue in the first place.

Hey, you are not banned. Make sure you are not running any mod menus such as wemod and you will be able to load into the game.

Hey, you are not banned. Make sure you are not running any mod menus such as wemod and you will be able to load into the game.
